Organization
Through the Cross-cultural Communication Program with Project-Based Learning (CCPP), we conduct international exchange programs and educational research activities for university and high school students. To date, over 200 students from Japan and Korea have participated, and we have established partnerships with more than 60 institutions across academia, government, and industry.
CCPP is emerging as a new standard in international exchange, integrating problem-based learning (PBL) through practical projects to go beyond traditional intercultural understanding. Moving forward, we aim to further develop this model and expand our reach, extending our programs beyond Japan-Korea exchanges to a broader global audience.
Our mission is to foster a world where people can trust and connect as global citizens through international exchange. We are actively seeking universities, research institutions, government agencies, and corporate partners who share our vision and are interested in collaborating on this initiative. Hello, I am HOZUMI Norihito, the General Manager of the Office for Japan-Korea Exchange Program, the University of Tsukuba.
This initiative is a collaborative project between students and faculty, working beyond the university to partner with Japanese and Korean government agencies. Our goal is to establish the leading Japan-Korea youth exchange education program.
A defining feature of this program is CCPP model, which integrates intercultural communication and entrepreneurship. Developed with academic expertise from our faculty, this program goes beyond traditional cultural exchange by fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and hands-on learning experiences. Furthermore, this program is jointly operated through industry-government-academia collaboration, featuring guest lecturers from both Japanese and Korean government agencies. This provides participants with unique insights into international affairs and real-world policy discussions, equipping them with the skills needed to navigate global challenges. The CCPP is contributing to the realization of a more sustainable and interconnected world. Thank you.
